Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre
Situated on the border of Counties Monaghan and Cavan,
at the heart of the Dromore Water System, adjoining
Dartrey Forest, the Centre is 70 miles (112km) from
both Dublin and Belfast. The original building served
as residence for the land-steward of nearby Dartrey
estate; then it became a seminary; after that an army
barracks; now busy again as a modern outdoor pursuits
and education centre.
Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre has a
large variety of tasks that will challenge your group,
both mentally and physically. They are designed to promote
all aspects of team dynamics, which includes leadership,
communication, planning and motivation. Team tasks can
be run for pure enjoyment and competition but are ideal
for groups such as scouts or youth groups looking to
train potential leaders of the future.
